We have started planting! Thanks for your support!

As a program of Northern Rockies Conservation Cooperative (NRCC) and led by Research Associate Nancy Bockino, this work is empowered by fostering and working within a collaborative network of individuals and agencies across the Western United States.

Our Cause:

Whitebark pine has suffered catastrophic decline due to climate-driven beetle infestations and invasive disease.  This threatened species is vital for regulating water cycles and fostering biodiversity.

Our Vision:

A future where whitebark pine forests grace the alpine and thrive as the foundation of mountain ecosystems across the West.

Our Mission:

We are dedicated to conserving whitebark by protecting these ancient trees and planting new seedlings to nurture diverse populations and the wild places they sustain.

Partnerships:

Guided by the teachings of the whitebark, we operate as an interconnected ecosystem: a network of professionals, partners, and citizens dedicated to saving our whitebark forests.

For the love of wild places and mountain tops, we steward whitebark pine — an ancient keystone species, essential to thriving ecosystems in the West
